The winners of The Drinks Business Awards 2020 will be announced at a virtual ceremony, which will air at 2pm BST this Thursday 1 October.

Those interested in watching the awards can click here at 2pm BST on 1 October to tune into the event, which will be streamed on YouTube.

The Drinks Business Awards were conceived 17 years ago to celebrate outstanding achievements in drinks in an array of categories, from retail buying, marketing and drinks design to social media.

While the ceremony usually provides a chance for the great and good of the UK trade and meet and mingle over a glass of fizz at the London Wine Fair, with the global pandemic continuing to disrupt the status quo, we had to do things a little differently this year.

Our editor-in-chief, Patrick Schmitt MW, will be announcing the results of the awards from Asia House in Marylebone, London.

In addition to the categories shortlisted here, Patrick will also be announcing the winners of our personality awards, including Young Achiever of the Year, Man of the Year, The Wonderworks Woman of the Year Award and our Lifetime Achievement Award.

While we may not have been able to celebrate in person, this year’s winners are testament to the resilience the drinks industry has shown in one of its most challenging years to date, and proof of what an inspiring and exciting industry it is to work in.
